Parks Canada/Pukaskwa National Park – Resource Management Officer II

Reporting to the Ecology Team Leader, the successful candidate will deliver and lead applied science, monitoring and/or active management projects or environmental assessments in support of a resource management program. Duties will include: organizing projects, documenting and coordinating logistics, and leading project implementation; assisting in the preparation of complex technical/scientific project reports, preparing environmental assessment reports and presenting technical information; leading applied science, monitoring and active management data acquisition and manipulation; and developing and overseeing preparation of presentations, web site information, guidelines, posters and displays or other material relating to resource management issues intended for Agency personnel, research and cooperative management partners and other audiences.

In recognizing that the Anishinaabemowin language and culture are gateways towards strengthening our students, school and community, the Netamisakomik Centre for Education is seeking applications for a part-time Native Language Teacher.

Reporting to the Principal, the Native Language Teacher will be responsible for developing an effective Ojibway language learning environments for students with a focus on their cultural and educational backgrounds, experiences with different learning modalities; incorporate various methods of instruction, assessment and evaluation; employ the use of technology to support the learning environment; maintain effective classroom routines as well as excellent classroom management skills; effective curriculum planning;daily lesson planning; excellent communication skills and enthusiasm.

Pic Mobert Health Centre – On Call Medical Driver

The On Call Medical Drivers will work for the Pic Mobert Health Center to transport clients to access medical services outside the community on evenings and weekends. Evening and weekend Medical Driver schedules are developed monthly. Driving involves taking after hours clients to emergency or medical services and bringing them back when finished, or taking/ picking up clients from the Greyhound bus stop at the gate. Basic records are kept on dates/names of clients, use of the medical van, mileage and unusual incidents.
